Product review – Ridgegear 1 & 2 Point Fall Arrest Harnesses

News

First let’s destroy the myth, cheap kit is not always poor kit!

Ridgegear is currently incredibly good value AND good quality. We wouldn’t be selling it if we didn’t truly believe in the products and brand. Set up in 1998 but with a history in safety at height equipment dating back over 50 years, Ridgegear are part of Unitex Group which includes Marling Leek which manufactures the webbing with which the harnesses are made.

Abaris International offer the complete range of Ridgegear products, including the best and cheapest fall arrest harnesses on the market: the RGH1 1 point fall arrest harness, the RGH2 2 point fall arrest harness & the RGH5 a 2 point harness with a rescue attachment. These harnesses feature ‘letterbox’ buckles which make donning and removing the harness very easy and are much less fiddly to the standard twist out buckles.

The harnesses also have clever ‘tear indicators’, which make it easy to see if the harness has endured a shockload / fall large enough to potentially damage it.

Abaris International are happy to recommend these harnesses for use in work restraint and fall arrest. Ideal as a cherry picker / MEWP harness, used in combination with a work restraint lanyard.
