Hydrajaws Model 2000

News

In this Blog, we’ll explain what the Hydrajaws Model 2000 is , what’s in the box and the available options and accessories.

Hydrajaws Model 2000 Deluxe kit

The Model 2000 Deluxe is Hydrajaws medium duty fixing tester. It enables engineers / skilled technicians to establish the working load limit and to validate correct installation of anchors / fixings. The tester unit uses a mechanical screw arrangement acting through a hydraulic load cell to measure the load applied to an anchor / fixing. You should turn the handles slowly and progressively in order to apply the test load. First movement is shown on the built-in movement indicator scale (50 mm stroke).

If the handles / gauge need more room or become obstucted, the top part of the tester can be rotated, thus giving more room. Furthermore, all Hydrajaws testers can be used in confined spaces by removing the handles. This leaves the 22 mm operating nut, which can be turned using a spanner.

The Model 2000 Deluxe is fitted with a fixed gauge. This means that the whole unit must be sent away for annually gauge calibration. Hydrajaws offer a Fast Track walk in service for gauge calibration. This needs to be pre-booked.

You can use this kit to test:

  • Threaded rods
  • Bolts

Gauge accuracy

Analogue 0-25 kN gauge +/-2.5% FSD (Full Scale Deflection). All readings will have an accuracy of +/-0.625 kN

The accuracy on this gauge means that lower gauges readings are likely to be fairly inaccurate.

Digital 0-25 kN gauge +/-0.5% FSD (Full Scale Deflection). All readings will have an accuracy of +/-0.125 kN

Gauge calibration

Tester gauges are supplied with a calibration certificate which is valid for one year from the date of purchase. Annual calibration should be completed to ensure the gauges are kept accurate and in good working order. Hydrajaws offer a Fast Track pre-booked walk in service.
